The week that was

This week was a week of using initiative and scouring of text books.  Conferring between the three of us, A, N and I figured our way through most of the assembly of the trouser waistbands, using Robert Doyle’s The Art of the Tailor: With a Needle, a Thimble and 10,000 Stitches.  When we saw G on the Wednesday, he looked at what we had done, gave some suggestions and advice on how to totally finish them.

We also had a tutorial on how to do jetted pockets, which are, supposedly easier than welt pockets, and in some ways they are, but in other ways they are just as hard, if not worse, or maybe just different.

By Friday I had finished the trousers  - hooray!
